Who Is Dr. Recher?
Hi, I’m Dr. Recher
Ever since I was a young boy, I have been fascinated with sound. I quickly took to learning musical instruments in grade school. Percussion instruments were something I took a liking to right away (of course the loudest of the bunch!). As I progressed to high school I joined various local “garage band” rock band groups and played in my fair share of run down pubs and halls.
In college, I started to develop tinnitus (ringing in the ears) right around my sophomore year when I was also making the decision (that would impact the rest of my life) to switch majors and begin a six year journey to becoming a Doctor of Audiology.
Throughout my studies, I became fascinated with the human ear and having access to modern technology to rehabilitate someone who has hearing loss. As I dove deeper into the curriculum, I also developed a thirst for understanding everything there was to know about tinnitus. I even chose tinnitus studies to be my topic of discussion in my doctoral program’s senior thesis.
In 2014, the same year I graduated, I founded Mid Island Audiology. For the last five years I have made it my mission to provide the very best patient care to every single patient that walked into my practice. While I have had my fair share of challenging days, I never feel like I am at work. I love creating an experience for individuals and helping them feel at ease as they navigate through difficult decisions when it comes to their hearing health.
As the years went on and I had the blessing to see more and more patients walk through my doors, I began to see an increasing amount of patients suffering from tinnitus. During that same time, I was also on a path of inner discovery and healing myself to improve my own symptoms of tinnitus. Very quickly I started to gain a reputation that I was the audiologist to go to in my town for tinnitus because of my own personal experience with ringing in the ears - don’t take my word for it, take a look below at what my patients are saying about me. I don’t show you those testimonials to boast, I show you them because I believe that I can help you make massive strides towards hearing wellness.
In my desire to help more people with this very troubling disorder, I decided to launch Integrative Audiology. This is my personal approach to hearing health through all that I have learned over the last 15 years from my studies as well as my own personal journey. I can honestly say that my health has never been better and my tinnitus is almost non-existent.
Now as a doctor of Audiology, let me preface that you should always seek an evaluation with a licensed Otolaryngologist (specifically one that specializes in the ear and brain - also known as a neuro-otologist) when you are first diagnosed with tinnitus.
However, if you have been down the path where you have been told that there is no cure for tinnitus and the only thing that will help you is a handful of vitamins and a noise masker, then you have come to the right place. I promise if you sign up for my course, not only will you learn strategies that will help you for your tinnitus, you will learn strategies that will help you in all areas for the rest of your life. I can promise you, if you implement what I teach you, you will improve your health and get back to a place of wellness and vitality.
